Mum's been sending crystal and linen as though baby somehow magically means marriage. She means well, I suppose, but I don't need another set of wine glasses or Granddad's scotch decanter. I really don't need a crystal cracker dish or a lace tablecloth. She wants to see her grandbaby as well. Like hell she's going to. She wasn't interested in seeing me or Kris before. Hell, she hasn't even met Kris. Why the hell should I let her see my child? I owe her nothing. The only thing my parents did for me was made sure I didn't die before 18. Even that, though, is arguable.
I've taken up shooting. With a gun, bang bang, that sort of thing. My therapist said it'd be good for me, help with some anger issues. He also said that it will help me feel more in control of my life, like I have something to contribute to the pregnancy (protection). Like I don't bloody contribute. My paycheque is a pretty bloody nice contribution, but like hell I'm going to tell that wanker that. He'd probably start charging me more. Anyway, it is enjoyable enough but I doubt it's done much to help with anger management or stress relief. I'm taking over the head of a brand, moving, and having a baby. How could I NOT be stressed? On top of it, we're opening Kristina's gallery despite the fact that she can't exactly work yet. Really, it's more like I'M opening it and she sits at home and makes a few decisions. Don't know what we're bloody thinking, how's she going to run a gallery with a baby on her hip? But I suppose that's what a nanny is for. Christ, speaking of, we have to find one. There's so much to do before the baby comes. We had ideas for the nursery in New York, but with this move, we have to start all over again. To top it off, we have a couples baby shower in Chicago before the end of the month. Who the hell throws a COUPLES baby shower? (Ana and Tristan, obviously). I'd be perfectly content letting Kristina do her own thing but NO, the father has to be there as well. Not that I wouldn't have gone to Chicago with her, but the shower itself is just...silly. Doesn't help we have one here in October as well. At least registering has kept Kris busy.

And all I'm doing is rambling. I need to get back to work, at least PRETEND to do something.
Cheers.
